tru fun shop scholarship guidelines and application

The goal for Tru Scholarships is to provide equal opportunities for the students at Westover Elementary School to participate in the Fun Shop after school enrichment programs. Anyone experiencing financial hardship is eligible to apply for a Tru Scholarship. 

The following guidelines are intended to help distribute scholarships for Fun Shop programs in a fair and responsible manner while maintaining the privacy of scholarship applicants.

• Requests must be submitted online or to the main office no later than Monday, January 6, 2020.
• Lottery winners will be contacted by Wednesday, January 8, 2020.
• A maximum of $75 in scholarship funds will be granted to an individual student in a given calendar year (2020). The scholarship amount may be used for one Fun Shop activity.
• If the scholarship received does not cover the full cost of the Fun Shop activity, you are responsible for the balance.
• We have a very limited number of scholarships to award. Tru Scholarship recipients are selected at random in a lottery format, with first preference given to those who have never done a Fun Shop before. 
• The main contact for any scholarship application will be the Tru 2 Hue Creative Director.
• Barring normal  reasons for absences, your child is expected to attend all Fun Shop classes.
